I believe there are replacements for it now. Any camera store that's properly  
stocked should know the conversion. If not, send e-mail to Bob Shell, he can tell  
you.

As for how good the 28mm Minolta lens is, some people say it's very good and  
compares favorably with the old 28 Leica M lens. But it can't come close to the new  
one.
