There are two families of Viso lenses. The original family were
thread-mount and had an optical registration of 62.5mm; the later ones are
bayonet-mount and have an optical registration of 40mm. The first family
are for use on the PLOOT and Viso I; the second are for the Viso II, IIa,
and III.

An early lens can be used on a later Viso (that is, a thread-mount Viso lens
can be used on a Viso II, IIa, or III) by using an OUBIO/16466 adaptor,
which takes the thread-mount lens and has a bayonet male fitment for the
Viso. And, of course, it is 22.5mm thick to make up the differences in
optical registration.

And there is a family of adaptors -- 14127 and 14167 -- which fit a NEW
STYLE Viso lens to an R body.

So, what you need is an OUBIO/16466 (available used for around $35 in the
this country) AND a 14127 (available used for $50 here) or a 14167
(available used for $50, new for around $200). But these together and,
voila!, your 65mm Elmar will now proudly mount -- and perform to infinity
focus -- on an SL or R camera.
