High All,
Why are the prices of M5 so high?
Here is my guess. There is a guy in Japan who wrote about cameras. He is a
photographer and a writer. He likes his M5 very much and advocates it.
Most of his writings include some topics about M5. Since he is very popular
and has influence on Leica enthusiast in Japan, the price of M5 became very
high in recent years in Japan due to his influence, that's what I was told
by one of the dealers in Japan. I admit that his articles on M5 lures us
into getting one. There are many classic camera dealers in Japan and some
of them are advertizing on the Shutterbug. They might have some impacts on
the price of M5 in the US.
I myself am looking for a M5 which is in working order.
