Cassette lugs are the little whatchmacallits on the inside of baseplate on
the film chamber side. When the locking mechanism on the baseplate is
turned, it opens the Leica Cassette inside.

Leica cassettes are film cassettes that were once sold by Leica. Many of us
who bulk load film use them. They are VERY heavy duty and designed to be
light tight when out of the camera, but to open inside the camera to allow
the film to spool out without touching anything. No scratches!

Cheers!
