Actually one thing that offended me was the way NY Times
sought advertisements weeks ahead of this issue.

Now I realize that a magazine is a business and needs to
make money.

However, I still feel somewhat uneasy that the magazine quite
loudly sought advertisers, usually selling items of luxury
such as perfumes and designers clothes, for this particular
issue. And they succeeded very well. Somehow, the idea of
using a large number of photographs of humanity in distress
to sell Nautica bothers me.

I guess I am being too thin-skinned. I'll shut up.
