Norm:

The use of the Beattie screen should not affect the metering since the R
meters off  of the multi-faceted mirror focused on the meter cell located in
the bottom of the mirror box, instead of through the pentaprism as in other
SLRs.  I have not seen a comparison between the standard Leica screens and
the Beattie screen.  However, I don't think you could improve very much on
perfection.   :)
