my granddaughter Kendall.

I'll be in Germany in late March ('97) and April. Hauling along the M's won't be a
problem, an R with a lens or two won't add much to the burden. The Nikon? Too large
by far, certainly too large to tuck away in a field jacket pocket.

On another subject, I received literature in the mail today from Leica USA. The R8
looks nice and clean, much like a Canon. That isn't bad, and it does maintain the
Leica "look" in a somewhat "retro" style. Nice features, and it appears to have a
semi-matrix metering mode in addition to spot and full field.

Tamarkin isn't discounting the R6.2 ... yet. The M6 (black or chrome) is being
discounted a couple of hundred dollars. The titanium M6 is not being discounted.

I was also told there would be a $200 per (new) lens rebate from Leica on selected
lenses starting in a day or two.
