Clearly the best photography (not primarily photo-equipment oriented)
periodical for those interested in fine photography and Leicas is "Leica
Fotographie", published in Germany but available in an English edition.
Available via subscription from Tamarkin in Connecticut.

Aperature is a wonderful magazine and worth the subscription price. However,
several recent issues have been spotty and subject to some criticism. The
issue before last was about "food and photography" and included interviews
with chefs. Really too precocious (and certainly irrelevant to LUG).

It is a shame that there really is not a decent periodical dedicated to fine
photography as opposed to the mechanics of technique or equipment. A great
many of the finest photographers in history (Cartier-Bresson, Kertesz,
Brassai, Ilse Bing, Eisenstat, and recently Sebastio Salgado and Flor
Garduno, among many others) have used the Leica. Come to think of it, it is
a shame that there isn't a newsgroup on the subject!
