I suspect that Herr Puts will give us the specifics telling us the current lens is optically superior. From my own experience, I cannot say that I have ever noticed much difference, save that the current version, being much lighter, is a LOT more convenient to use, though I do miss the flexibility of being able to use the lenshead on a Viso.
