Subject: Empty slot on M3 eveready case?

Hello.

	Does anyone know what is supposed to go into the slot on
the left hand side of an dual-range eveready case for an M3?
It's about 3/4 of an inch wide and goes all the way down the
side of the camera.
	Also, I'm looking for a clean 90/4 Elmar collapsible.
If anyone has one at a reasonable price please let me know.
