This could have more subtle effects in all out of focus >areas that could make Leica pictures appear better (the "glow"?). The current 50 Summicron-M has 7 blades, as do some of the pro Nikon lenses and all of the ARSAT (Kiev) lenses that I own. Suffice to say that the Nikon and Leica optics hold a more nearly circular shape at smaller aptertures better than the inexpensive Ukraininan glass, as they should, given the vast price difference. If memory serves, the Rolleiflex and Rolleicord TLRs have especially circular diaphragm arrangements, but TLRs and I have never quite come to terms, much as I respect the essential simplicity of the designs. For the life of me, I can't figure out what this Leica "glow" is either :-) - --------------------------------------------------- Specialist in interesting, quality junk.
