I believe it's made in Japan and from some test reports on the web a
fairly decent lens but I do not know of any one that's used it.  I'm
trying to sell (with no luck) a 28 Elmerit for  the same price as
Adorama wants for there no name.  I can't sell it for $850 so why would
you want to buy an imitation ?
