Tim,

Think this refers to the Leica/Minolta joint effort to produce a camera and
lens set. I seem to remember that versions were marketed by both Leica and
Minolta, with slight differences. I have the Leica C Elmar f4 90mm lens, for
which I acquired a lens hood, which did not fit as it was a Minolta one!

The camera body takes M lenses, with some restrictions as the ttl meter is
located in the film path, it jumps out of the way during exposure.

I have herd good things about the camera, its solid, small and takes M
lenses, and is much cheeper than Leica M bodies. But I have never used or
owned one so this is just rumour. Prices seem to be from $500-700 US
depending on condition.

The lens set, ie lenses made for the CLE, are 40mm and 90mm - would like to
try one of these, like the idea of a 40mm lens on 35mm seems like a nice
focal length. Maybe I will find a body for a reasonable price some day.

brgds

Mel
