Right. OTOH, Canon's Lens Mount Converter B adapts Canon FL/FD mount 
lenses (breech or bayonet) to Leica/ Canon SM. The thickness of
this converter is such that infinity focus is preserved (and
manual focusing is necessary, of course). 

BTW, I am trying to get back into Leica M again after a 15 year
absense (too long I know!). I used this converter (B) to adapt
Canon lenses to my Leicas, but I don't remember what I tried
and how it worked. I also remember making pinhole lenses with
a SM->M adapter and Al foil. Fun Stuff!
