I second the Linhof Profi-Port tripod as a fabulous for travel ... add to it the
smallest Gitzo 0011 (their tabletop) and you will have all the tripods you'll
ever need for Leicas and lenses of 135mm and shorter.  

The Profi-Port weighs about 4 pounds and packs to about 18" without a head.
