I design optical instruments.  In lens housing, which are the subject of
the above note, we use Synthetic Air Tool Oil by the Break-Free Company in
bearings and Extreme Pressure Lub #3 by CMD to lubricate threads and
sliding parts.  These lubricants work well for this application.
