Why not give them something completely different, which is made the more
so by its side by side comparsison with color prints?

I suggest shooting in BW, for a sharp grainy photojournalist style.  I
used to use Rodinal 1-100 and Tri-X.  I guess its still a good combo.

I would shoot w/o flash, all candid shots, a monopod if needed--no
tripod, with the fastest lenses I had available.  Choose wide aperatures
and faster shutter speeds.  

The difference between "normal" wedding shots and yours will be
amazing.
