The comet looked great! Took photos with a 1000mm Celestron f11 'scope and 90mm Sumicron-R, using Kodacolor 1000 ASA The energy from the huge solar flare, that's recently been in the news, hit the earth last night. For about 40 minutes the Northern Lights were as bright as most displays I used to see in the YUKON. Here, on the US border, we seldom see them at all, and they're very dim when they do appear. Took photos of the aurora too - but haven't seen any results yet. I can hope! Question: Does the superiority of Leitz/Leica lenses matter when the comet's so fuzzy anyway? Cheers!
