Subject: UVa filter colour

What is the significance of the term "UVa" as opposed to "UV" when
describing an ultra-violet filter?

All the filters of this type I've ever owned have been colourless, but I
recently bought two second-hand Leitz UVa filters and was surprised to see
that one has a slight pale-straw tinge, while the other has a distinct pale
yellow/green colour.
