I don't have the same feeling about that, I've used the first Asperical and
one of the problem was the size of the lens shade (huge), also the location
of the aperature ring, who was closer to the lens shade, and the focusing
ring was confusing.

Anyway, now it is a collector piece. (Is'nt it Alistair ??)

I'm very pleased with the new lens shade (with lock), even if I prefer the
lens shade of the summicron.
I hope that the new summicron 35/2 asph will have a small lens shade like
the present one, with a cover.
