RE: M6 Partner Aktion

Several years ago Hans Brandstatter of FotoFach, donated to the Leica 
Historical Society of America for their raffle, one of these specialially
engraved M6;  I know about it because my name was the 2nd one called
but since I wasnt there, it went to someone else that was.  I was told that
there were 500M6s made & an equal number of R7s.
If anyone is interested in joining the society, whose dues are only $35/year,
I would be happy to send an application or give you the address.

Hi Danny,

The "LEICA Partner-Aktion Deutschland 1996" was a limited edition
of 500 Leica M6 and 500 Leica R7 cameras, both black chrome.
The M6 came together with a Summilux-M 1,4/35 mm ASPH lens and
(n)ever ready bag ;-). The intension for this edition was: "demo and
test for Leica prospects".
The serial numbers are not recorded. The time period was Feb./Mar. 96.

This is the german reply from Leica:
