Jim:  Appreciate the thought, but the camera works with the door closed 
and no film loaded...that is, it works most of the time.  Occasionally, the 
mechanism still freezes.  Incidentally, I did check to see if the mirror lock 
up switch was " down"...it was.  Furthermore, the "Dx" comes on the back 
indicator display panel, so that interface is probably working somewhat.  
Will get the replacement camera, and try to let all of you know what the 
problem was just in case ya'al have it happen too.
