> Interesting, Harrison. That could explain a used, beater M4 I looked at 
in a store the other day. It had a series of notches cut into the side of 
the film plane opening. Three or four, as I recall. I wondered at the 
time if soemthing had been attached to replace the back, but it may have 
been for identification. Not a bad idea.
