     Hi,

Last weekend at San Mateo camera show, I bought the subject lens in
box (Leitz #11960). Its mount puzzled me though. It was totally
different from the normal R lens mount (1, 2 and 3 cam). It looked
more like the M mount or Viso mount. The seller said it was inherited
from his father. He said he used a couple of times on his Leicaflex
SL with no problem. I could not find the serial number either, so
could not figure out when it was made. According to the Pocket Book,
the lens was made from 1971 through 1990, which started in 2 cam era.
I wonder if it has a special mount for Leicaflex SL, SL2 and R bodies.
Any info on this will be appreciated.

     Regards,
     David
