I just bought Canon's EOS2. One of the features is DEP mode which can
calculate the proper depth-of -field for you. Autofocus on near object then
autofocus on far object recompose your shot and it will focus and correctly
fstop for you. This can effectively be done in about 3-5 seconds. Manually
would require focusing on near and far subjects while checking distance on
lens and interpolating with the correct law of thirds application. About a 10
to 20 second procedure. (I'm not touting switching from Leicaland though)

Let me throw out a few more observations while I'm here.

When developing Agva's APX400 along with Kodak's Tri-X400, It was glaringly
obvious that Tri-X's film base is clearer than APX's. However, I was shocked
at how rich the tonal rangeis from the APX. For all you B&W users I recommend
you try a roll of the stuff.

Did anyone mention the M3 around Mary McDonnell's neck in the movie 'Passion
Fish'?
The shutter was accurately protrayed also.

One more note: still FOR SALE.
collapsable 5cm f1:2 Summicron w/ IROOA shade. $425.00
