Yes, that's the demo warranty. They've done that for years. But it's not a
passport if it's what I've seen. Did they, Leica, say to YOU personally
that it was unconditional? Remember, Leica has stated Passport warranties
are not transferrable. I have it in writing on an invoice for a repair.

You can break it intentionally and get it fixed with the passport.
