What is a 'normal' model A's value? Is this the 'Ur' Leica?

No Danny, the UR Leica of which only 2 or 3 exist is the prototype
Leica made by Oskar Barnack in 1913 and is unique & priceless.
The null or "0" series of 1923 with a total production of 31, books
for $120,000 and there are replicas of both that sell for about $2000.
There are variations of the "normal" model "A" -- with the common
  ones in EX+ condition selling for between $900 & $2200. I have 3
of them plus one Russian fake. These are not "Specials" but just
plain early production cameras for which there is a great demand.

There always is a market for early Leica cameras, as an example
Steve Gandy has the 21st M6 ever made which is in London now for
auction at Christies, with an estimate of over $3000 and this is just
  a normal, unembellished M6.
