Sam, you are of course trying to get me into trouble again, but here are my
opinions on these two exotics. The 100/2 Zunow must rate as one of the rarest
of the Non-Leica screwmount lenses. Performancewise I would think it is close
to the Canon 100/2 (no mean performer at all). I once shot with the Zunow
50/1,1 and decided that it was no match for the Noctilux and not as good as
the Nikon 50/1,1, except that the apertureblades seemed to stay in place for
a longer time than the Nikon ones.
A friend sold a Zunow 100/2 a couple of month ago for approx $ 300 ( it was
mint in the box) and I did not get it because I was out of town and he
thought that it was just one of these strange cheap lenses and got rid of
it.!! Well, that should teach me to stay home!
The LTM 50 Micro-Nikkor is soo nice to look at and supposedly a super
performer, I heard once that it would resolve over 250 lines/mm ( dont know
at what contrast they measured it, probably 1000:1). It was probably a good
idea at the time, but it is a pain in the **** to use. Rare though.
Sam, dont sell them before you shot with them and let the LUGgers know about
the performance.
