It probably isn't from so many exposures as the camera when not being used
is probably placed in a case that presses down on the shutter release,
therefore always causing the meter to be on!

Each time you put the camera away. turn the shutter speed dial to
"B"!!!!!!!  This shuts off the meter completely.

This shutter release situation has caused many of us "battery drain"
problems for ages until someone points it out. Although I understand in the
new M6 manual it mentions about turning the shutter speed dial to "B"

Hope this corrects your battery problem.
