The standard thread for microscope objectives is that of the Royal
Microscope Society, called, without a trace of apparent humour, the 'royal
screw' (4/5" by 1/36"). It is shared, even to this day, by
macro-objectives such as the Zeiss Luminar and Leitz/Leica Photar lenses.

As to who sells these, well, they are catch and catch can. I happened to
get my Luminar at a camera show. The Photar lenses are still available
new. I believe Rodenstock and Scheider also make like lenses.
