And a Leica technician told it never worked. And he told me he threw them all out that Leica had in NJ. I still have the one I bought; and it still doesn't work. And it never will work. It you attached the guide to the base plate, it didn't work either. It never wound the film. It will never wind the film. It is a Leica dud. I keep it with the Leitz compact flashgun that never worked. Leitz also distributed a two-piece Braun electronic flash that never worked either. But, dear colleagues, the story of that flash is too painful to relate. Bob
