I found the serial number to be close to yours; namely: # 271xxx. However, I cannot find the serial number on the lens which is a Leitz, ELmar, 50mm F3.5? Questions: l. Where do I look for lens ser. no.? 2. What Leica body do I have...how is it identified, etc.? P.S. I'm a Leica user not a collector, and any background information members of the LUG can provide on this "outfit" would be greatly appreciated! Leon LP6@aol.com
