Curt, Thanks for the wonderful write up on Stefan Lorant. A true "Great" in
the world of photojournalism.
 He was also the person who assigned ( probably deeply regretted this several
times) Eugen Smith to shot the Pittsburg Essay. Although it almost ruined
Magnum at the time and drove Stefan Lorant almost crazy, it also produced one
of the most spectacular photoessays ever done. If any of you LUGgers ever go
to Tucson,Arizona, contact the Centre for Creative Photography there. They
will give you an opportunity to see the original prints from this essay. Makes
you humble in your own darkroom work!!
 At one time there was talk that American Express was going to sponsor a book
with the Pittsburgh essay. Would be great if they did.
