Has anyone asked Leica about the alleged quality problem? Maybe they do not
see the "defects" as having photographic significance. It seems incredible
that they would ship a product with an obvious flaw that can be seen by visual
inspection. I would love to hear their side of the debate. Has anyone taken
photographs with the defective lens and compared them to photographs taken
with "good" lenses. The Leica lenses I own arrived in perfect looking and
working condition.
