As I mentioned I want to scan a number of my slides to store on disks or CD's. Perhaps print not larger than 8 x 10. I would like to hear about experiences with the HP Photosmart scanner with slides. From their material it appears that they have a resolution of 2400dpi for slides, which would print 8 x 10 at 300 dpi. I did look at some scanned by R. Rose from prints and they looked quite good. If this is satisfactory for me I can save $300-400 - or go to the next level of slide scanners, Minolts, Nikon, Poloroid, etc. Please e-mail me privately at: n5xrd@telepath.com Thanks - to keep on topic, most of the slides I would scan are from Leicas <gr>.
