Hello Bill,

I was in my dentist's office one day.  He used a digital video camcorder
(it was a Sony DV7) to photo/tape his patient's teeth.  I have seen its
quality and the short distance focusing was really amazed me.  

He said the reason he uses a DV was because he could record his voice and
save in his computer.  Maybe DV is a better option for you?
