I believe the problem with the 90mm focusing was only on a very small run
of extremely early G1's and was rectified almost immediately.  I've not
heard of any problems since then, though Chasseurs d'Image did quite a
hatchet job on the G1 because of it, much as did Consumer Reports on the
Baby Grey Rollei.
