I'm wondering what the current practice is regarding registration cards in
different areas. When I bought an M6 last summer, my dealer indicated that
I did not have to send in a registration card; it was automatically
registered by the dealer with Kindermann in Canada. I didn't receive a
complimentary Leica Handbook either (not that it really matters). I see in
the above post that some other dealer handled the registration matter
differently. Is it more common for the dealer or the customer to submit
the registration documentation?
I missed the inference here regarding collectors. Why would they cringe
about sending in a registration card? Doesn't that make it advantageous
when making a warranty claim?
