Subject: [Leica] Leica "Type FP" filter?

Hi,

I recently bought a chrome 39mm Leitz "FP" filter. It was listed as "Type
FP - Photofloods", but the blue tint looks too light to be much good
correcting daylight film for use with photofloods.  Can anyone tell me the
application for this filter?
