Two of Don's sentences in his recent post (WHATS GOING ON?) strike to
the heart of the hobby or vocation we pursue. We are members of a
relatively small "club" devoted to a niche product ... the Leica M and
R.

About time to get back to the basics Don alluded to, finding joy,
relaxation, and pleasure in the pictures we make using our Leicas.

Talking about what we used, where we went, what techniques we used, and
why we did what we did. Lastly, did we achieve our goal ... could our
work be improved?

Building a community of interests by talking about our experiences is
important. I've found myself interested in member's travels to Italy,
Tina's work in Central America, Jim's comments on (the lack of) Syrian
parasites. Tina's (and others) comments on Latin American parasites (In
more than 20 years visiting Central America I have NEVER missed a battle
with stomach critters ... and critters that bore into the skin).

Time to get back to the basics, collectors fighting it out over a red
dot <DELETE>, users talking about equipment and photographic adventures
and techniques <SAVE!>, sources for repairs and services <SAVE!>.
(Collectors invert <DELETE> and <SAVE!> ....)

Well said ... and in addition to my Leica passion, I continue to get
nice results from a vintage Rollei SL35 (I like Zeiss glass too!), the
little Rollei 35, or the Nikon F4s.
