A friend of min in Montana used to photograph in Glacier at least once a
week for something like 25 years, and had only a few close encounters of
the Grizzly kind. But he was always careful, because they are very dangerous.

And don't get too close to the mountain goats either.

That's what telephoto lenses are for. :-)
