hi tak,

in addition to reading about the various lenses as noted on Erwin Puts site:

http://www.imx.nl/photosite/leica/leicahome.html

i would suggest you check out the following link for pictures taken with all the 50 mm Leica lenses. it's pretty cool.

Subject: [Leica] Summicron 50/2

Hello all,

I have been an owner of a Leica M2 with a DR Summicron 50/2 for two weeks.
I chose this lense because I had read that this DR version of lenses used
kind of selected material to achieve required performance in the close
range that may(I thought) also provide some extra performance in the normal
range. However, since this is the only 50 mm Summicron lense I have, it is
not easy for me to compare its performance to other versions of Summicron
50 mm lenses myself.
I am very much satisfied with the images my lense produces, but I am
curious about the difference among the various 50 mm Summicrons.

I appreciate if anyone give me any kind of comments or experience on this
subject.
Thanks in advance.

Tak Oka
