I took the following from the Kodachrome list.  It appears Kodachrome isn't
as good as it used to be.  I guess nothing is sacred anymore:-(.

Kodak is putting Kodachrome 25, 64, and 200 under
the "Select Series" label.  Their updated technical
data publication (Jan.98, E88)has RMS values of
11, 12, and 19 respectively (the old values were
9, 10, and 16).

Kodak was quite responsive and provided the
following explanation:

- - there have been subtle changes to the film
  (from mfg changes) over the years that have
  slightly increased grain size.
- - the testing proceedures for RMS has improved
  eliminating some of the electronic noise in the
  system.
- - k-lab processing can actually show a slight
  increase in grain as well.
