Stephen

Please rest assured that I know British cars well! I learned to drive in a
Rover 2000TC and one of only two cars my Scottish soul allowed me to buy
new was a TR-7. I have owned four Sunbeam cars and still own a Sunbeam
Alpine V. My basement is awash in British parts of all sorts and
conditions, as my spare bedroom is laded with cameras. I served for a
gazillion years as the Vice-President and Technical Editor of the late, and
lamented, Sunbeam Car Club.

So my comparison between the V35 and British cars was made with full
knowledge of both!
