Nathan,

good to see you on the LUG !

I had a late model Tele-Elmarit-M 90/2.8 (version with 39mm filter thread=
,
built until 1989). It was a very good lens, particularly at infinity. At
close range contrast wasn=B4t too good. Several months ago I sold it and
bought an Elmarit-M 90/2.8 (current model with 46mm filter thread). This
lens is a little bigger and unfortunately a lot heavier than the tiny
Tele-Elmarit-M, but performs way better in the close range.
My first 90 BTW was the Summicron-M 90/2 which I sold after half a year a=
s
it just didn=B4t perform as well as I had expected it to.
You can find a lot of info on Leica lenses (including 90mm) on Erwin Puts=
=B4
website (http://www.imx.nl/index.html).
You may also want to think about getting the Summilux-M 75/1.4 which is a=

stellar performer.
