[Leica] Speedreading

When Tina mentioned that she is able to speedread the LUG messages, I'm
sure that her modesty forbid her to claim that this was also a factor
in the excellent documentary photographs she is able to take when on
assignment.  The ability to see a potential photograph in what is
usually a very fleeting moment and grab it before it disapears forever
uses skills similar to speedreading.  You have to take in the whole
scene as an entity quickly and precisely.

The average person, I believe, can recognise three to seven objects
without having to count them.  For instance, to know while looking at
the front of a house that is has five windows and one door.  A person
can practise and eventually stand in front of an office block and
without counting them declare there to be thirty windows.  I dont know
what the limit is though.  Its all part of speed of observation and
understanding what you are looking at immediatly.  

Therefore instead of griping at the number of LUG messages you have to
read, do as Tina suggests and learn to speedread,  and at the same time
improve your photography.  BTW this is a general post and is not aimed
at anybody in particular.
