Christian Becker,

>>even the N- or C-users believe it, that Leica is the leading 35mm brand
in<<
    >>........a.) mechanical quality  b.) alignment c.) color
transmission.......<<

Let me just speak to the alignment ( centering ) excellence of Leica
lenses;
relative to my experience with another brand. After a year, more or less,
with
another brand, I was detecting serious deltas in performance, with various
lenses, from one corner to the other. Needless to say, I "ditched" the
system!

My very oldest Leica optic still exhibits even performance across the lens.
It's
quite clear that this attention to manufacturing quality adds initial cost;
however, when you consider the cost over the life of the product! No issue
:-)!

However, in a time when people view products more from initial cost & are
disposal oriented; it's amazing that Leica is still in business ;-)!
