Subject: [Leica] R8 winder, 2/90 asph M, new 1.4/50 R

My provider has some problems, and my original message came
back. So I repeat the mail - sorry for the inconvenience.

There are some additional information on the new 1.4/50 R
Summilux, the 2/90 asph M Summicron, and the R8 motor:

The new 1.4/50 R Summilux has approx the same size and weight
as the 1/50 M Noctilux and cannot be adapted to the SL or SL-2.

They did not show the new 2/90 asph-apo M Summicron :(
It is still promised and expected end of May or early in June,
also to the Leica product management (even they hadn't seen
it yet).

The R8 motor is ready since some months and running. But when
Leica started its mass production, several subcontractors (?, word)
were unable to deliver. There is even no approximate date for the
beginning of the production yet.

The plans of the 2.4/75 APO belong (at leats in parts) to Midland.
Leica cannot decide on any production.

Alf
