Very interesting, but what is posted there doesn't seem to support your
initial contention -- POP gave it the top grade, while CdI gave it a
middlin' grade.  And that is it.

As the test results of both are, well, questionable, I'd not be unduly
concerned about either of these.  That very web site includes a rather
neutral discussion indicating why these results ARE questionable.

The most authoritative lens tests are, of course, those conducted with
painstaking attention to detail and precision by our own Erwin Puts --
Erwin found the 1.4/50 to a perfectly satisfactory lens.
