Well, there wasn't that exact word (or phrase or whatever) back then, but I'd like to mention
Genesis 15:5-6 in the Bible. As the fulfillment of the promise by the Lord Almighty, Abraham 
got what he saw.(Gee, sound like a preacher, don't I?)

No way! WYSIWYG was on TV in the 60s with Flip Wilson! Computer Culture is
just a rip-off of old TV programs. :-)
